Accenture Federal Services has won a $25 million (€23.36 million) digital transformation prime contract to modernise operations for Air Force Sustainment Centre (AFSC) including each of three air logistics complexes (ALCs) at Tinker Air Force based in Oklahoma, Robins air force base in Georgia, and Hill air force base in Utah. Using an approach that includes cloud, edge computing, and industrial internet of things (IIoT), Accenture Federal Services is creating IIoT enterprise platform for AFSC’s technology hosting environment for NextGen automation, a programme commonly referred to as ATHENA. LACROIX collaborates with ICONICS to develop its LX SCADA supervision offering. This recent software offering combines LACROIX’s skills in monitoring and control of water and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) networks with industrial automation know-how of ICONICS. Based on a combination of modules from ICONICS suite, LX SCADA solution supports a variety of communication protocols from popular telemetry and internet standards, enabling network operators to easily integrate their LX SCADA supervision with their existing equipment and business applications through remote management. The Federal Communications Commission and US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced partnership to promote awareness of Affordable Connectivity Programme (ACP) among federal housing assistance recipients. HUD secretary Marcia L. Fudge announced partnership while engaging with community members and touring a recently built computer lab at Yesler Terrace in Seattle,Washington. The partnership agreement reflects HUD’s commitment to increase outreach activities, alongside work both agencies are doing to decrease time it takes for recipients of HUD assistance to sign up for programme. The partnership monitors work that commission is doing to coordinate with other federal agencies to ensure that low-income households participating in eligible federal assistance programmmes are provided information about ACP, including how to enroll in programme. Starting this week, FCC and HUD will partner on ACP outreach targeted toward recipients of HUD assistance. (more…)
