The sensor is a PIR motion light and motion sensor that detects movement as well as the state of ambient light in the room, and can be used for security and home automation. Building on the previous generation, the P1 model further extends battery life to a record-breaking 5 years*, thanks to more energy-efficient technologies and improved batteries. The new sensor has been put up for sale on Amazon in the US , Canada , Germany andFrance , as well as through select Aqara retailers in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania**.
