Paul Driver of Bridewell Consulting

Independent cyber security services company, Bridewell Consulting, has appointed Paul Driver as non-executive chairman to help steer the company’s growth strategy.

Established in 2013, Bridewell Consulting is one of the fast growing, privately-owned, UK cyber security companies, with 75% year-on-year revenue growth since FY18. Headquartered in Reading, with additional offices in London and Newport, the company is undergoing a period of rapid expansion with projections for 50% customer growth in 2021.

Driver joins Bridewell to help shape the organisation’s expansion strategy, delivering value to its shareholders while also ensuring the business retains its core values and culture of being a cyber security company where people enjoy and want to work. The appointment is part of a five-year growth strategy for the firm, having recently secured a multi-million investment from Growth Capital Partners to expand into new markets and accelerate its service offering.

Having previously worked closely with other fast-growth private equity backed firms, Driver brings a wealth of experience to the cyber security services company. Prior to joining Bridewell, he co-founded and expanded the project consultancy company, Pcubed, while also holding chairman and director roles at companies such as InfinityWorks and Chaucer Consulting.

Commenting on his appointment, Driver says, “Bridewell is one of the fastest growing UK cyber security companies and I’m excited to play a key role in its next phase of growth. Cyber security has never been more important and it is expert consultancies, like Bridewell, who are best-placed to help customers to protect their business-critical applications and data. I look forward to the evolution of the company’s managed security services portfolio as it further strengthens its position in the security market, both in the UK and overseas.”

“Paul brings a level of expertise and experience that will prove invaluable as we continue to grow in both customers and staff. It’s a very exciting time for our business with the recent investment from GCP, and to have Paul on board helping drive that next phase really makes him the perfect addition to the team,” says Anthony Young, co-CEO, Bridewell Consulting.

Scott Nicholson, co-CEO, Bridewell Consulting, adds, “Paul’s track record in leading and consulting technology-driven businesses speaks for itself. We’re delighted to have him join as our new non-executive chairman to help drive the business forward.”
