Momenta Partners appoints LA-based Florence as principal partner in its Talent Practice

Momenta Partners, the global Advisory, Talent and Ventures firm focused on Digital Industry is pleased to announce the appointment of David Florence, principal partner in our Talent Practice.

David Florence joins Momenta Partners’ executive search team with a practitioners perspective on retained search, consulting, teaching and innovation. With over thirty years’ experience as a technology executive and twenty years as a product, marketing and business development executive in the hardware, telecommunication and software sectors, he brings a breadth of knowledge to our practice.

David has hosted roles in both the corporate and start-up world in his career including senior roles at Goto.com, Lucent Technologies, Motorola, Oracle and Sun Microsystems. Prior to joining Momenta Partners, David led the technology practice group for the global retained executive search firm Stanton Chase, a company with a global presence of 76 offices in 45 countries. There, he ran the technology, fin-tech and biotech practice groups in Southern California focusing specifically on C-Suite and executive level recruitment.

David also has consulting experience working with innovating companies looking to change their business focus such as Sportmix, Logic 20/20 and AtSite Inc. Acting as talent acquisition leader, he built internal management teams and provided executive recruiting leadership to Apple, Toshiba, E-Machines, Epson, Belkin International, Jansport, Phillips and more.

Besides being a retained search and consulting professional, David is also an adjunct Professor. He teaches at the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University, the David Nazarian School of Business and Economics at California State University Northridge, the University of California Santa Barbara and the University of La Verne and the University of Redlands where he teaches at the graduate school level.

He educates his students in Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Market Research, CEO Strategy, Innovation and New Venture Management. In addition to his work, David was the chairman of the University of Southern California Innovation Conference in 2018 and currently resides in Los Angeles.
