These are not your average webcams. These devices need to be able to withstand some pretty rough treatment, being used day in day out while providing video of high enough quality to be used for evidential purposes. Mobile World Congress 2016 did meet expectations: a relentless show with people walking endlessly between halls for meetings, seeking opportunities, and listening to the latest announcements from the industry, write Robin Duke-Woolley, the chief executive of Beecham Research, and Saverio Romeo the firm’s principal analyst. Every new technology that receives a lot of attention ends up being subjected to exaggerated claims of its growth potential. Such is the case for Internet of Things, or IoT.
