Smart home devices to exceed 13bn in active use by 2025

A new report from Juniper Research has found that there will be almost 13.5 billion smart home devices in active use by 2025, compared to an expected 7.4 billion at year end 2020. Smart home payments transaction value to exceed $164bn globally by 2025

A new study from Juniper Research has found that the total transaction value of smart home payments, payments that occur via smart home devices, will exceed $164 billion (€138.21 billion) in 2025, from $22 billion (€18.54 billion) in 2020. (more…)

OCF members certify universal cloud Interface platforms

Internet of Things (IoT) standards body, the Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF), has announced one of the first OCF Universal Cloud Interface (UCI) platforms has been certified as part of its Cloud-to-Cloud (C2C) certification program.
