Midwest fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) provider i3 Broadband has closed the acquisition of Big River Broadband, and its wholly owned subsidiary Circle Fiber. The combination will allow i3 Broadband to further expand its fibre footprint to residential and commercial customers across central Illinois and eastern Missouri.

Gogoro Inc., and Far EasTone Telecom have announced the deployment of their jointly-developed smart traffic signal uninterruptible power system (UPS) to nearly 200 of Taipei City’s busiest intersections utilising Gogoro smart batteries. Fujitsu announced that NTT Corporation has adopted Fujitsu’s optical transport platform ‘1FINITY Ultra Optical System’ as a verification system for use in trials ahead of the construction of the next optical core network covering Japan.
