Managed services provider eacs has been awarded supplier status for the UK’s Crown Commercial Service’s new Technology Services 3 Framework (TS3). This is designed to support UK government bodies in delivering large service transformation schemes.

eacs is one of just over 100 suppliers to have achieved the stringent pass mark following a thorough vetting process, with 64% of listed suppliers.

This is the third iteration of the technology services framework for central government and its arm’s-length bodies, NHS organisations and local authorities.

The UK£2 billion (€2.33 billion) framework sought suppliers for a new segment designed to support government bodies in delivering large service transformation schemes.

The procurement vehicle is intended to run for four years and will feature five lots, the first of which is dedicated to “technology strategy and service design”. Buyers can use the framework lots to appoint single suppliers, or to work with multiple providers.

Kevin Timms, CEO, eacs, states, “We are delighted to have secured a place on TS3 which follows our announcement last year on our successful bidding to gain a place on the NHS SBS Digital Workspace Solutions Framework. Have always been firm believers in what the framework stands for – providing the public sector with access to IT services with guarantees of the highest standards of delivery.

“The new framework will enable public bodies to cut through some of the red tape that has previously restricted its access to the newest and most innovative IT services. The simplified process makes it easier for suppliers such as eacs to provide these services, which in turn gives the public sector organisations far greater choice.”

Philip Orumwense, the CCS’ chief procurement officer explains, “Technology Services 3 has been designed and developed using an extensive discovery and consultative process with many of our customers, suppliers, and partners. This framework truly reflects and represents their expectations and provides the platform for the country to build back better with the right mix of quality and innovative suppliers, including SME providers.

“This is another example of how CCS is putting customers at the heart of everything we do to help support the public sector to continue on its digital transformation journey.”

Founded in 1994, eacs supplies practical, innovative, and cost-effective IT products, solutions and services to businesses.

Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth more than £1 billion (€1.17 billion) supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
