United States, 13 April 2023 – Silvus Technologies, Inc., a global provider of an advanced wireless networking communication systems announced that United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has secured Silvus a 4-year, $9.9 million (€9.02 million) IDIQ contract for StreamCaster MANET radlios and MN-MIMO waveform technology. As part of the contract award, Silvus has secured an initial $1.75 million (€1.59 million) task order to support CBP’s southern border sectors. Silvus StreamCaster MANET radios and MN-MIMO waveform were selected for their ability to create a secure, and resilient mesh network, connecting key border technology systems, sensors, aircraft, and front-line personnel. UBILITE has announced that Peter L. Gammel has joined the company as its new CEO. Mr. Gammel most recently held the position of vice president and CTO of the Mobile and Wireless Infrastructure Business Unit at GlobalFoundries. Previously, he was the CTO of Skyworks Solutions, Inc. and also served as CTO and vice president of engineering at SiGe Semiconductor before its acquisition by Skyworks. Prior to SiGe Semiconductor, he was vice president of engineering at Renaissance Wireless and CTO at Advance Nanotech and for Agere Systems’ Analogue Products Business. Intelligent technology company, Magene, is launching a multifunctional GPS bike computer that can record over 100 different items of riding data across 13 categories as well as support up to eight peripherals. The ‘C406 Pro’ uses satellite positioning to accurately record and display a range of data such as speed, mileage, time, temperature, and altitude on its 2.4-inch LCD screen. The integration of Nordic’s multiprotocol nRF52840 SoC allows the bike computer to support sensor devices such as heart rate monitors, power meters, speed and cadence sensors as well as electronic shifting systems and the company’s ‘L508 radar tail light’.
