Samsung SmartThings, the provider in smart home automation, announced a partnership with Google, bringing the company’s portfolio of Nest products into SmartThings, one of the IoT ecosystems. Through the integration, Google Nest devices, including thermostats, cameras and doorbells, will be “Works With SmartThings” (WWST) certified, allowing users to seamlessly control their smart homes through SmartThings. IoT analysts, Berg Insight report that the number of active fleet management systems deployed in commercial vehicle fleets in Australia and New Zealand was almost 1.0 million units in Q4-2019. According to a new research report from the firm, it is growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.5%, and is expected to reach more than 1.8 million units by 2024. (more…)
