The Wireless Innovation Forum (WInnForum) and Wi-Fi Alliance have jointly presented the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) with the complete package of specifications and test plans for the 6 GHz Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC) system. Delivery of this package is the culmination of a multiyear effort by both organisations to advance connectivity in the 6 GHz band representing consensus of the 6 GHz stakeholders including component and equipment manufacturers, AFC System applicants, network operators, incumbent and unlicensed operators, system integrators, software companies and many others. Comcast grants $4.5mn to Per Scholas to boost economy through digital skill building, tech training

Comcast Corporation has announced a new $4.5 million (€4.11 million), three-year grant to Per Scholas, a national nonprofit advancing economic equity through tech training and career building. The investment will enable more than 10,000 diverse adults across 15 markets to launch new tech careers, empowering individuals from low-wealth communities to earn a collective $450 million (€411.30 million) in new wages alone. Notably, the funding will also support Per Scholas expansion to three new markets in need of skilled technologists for digital economies allowing for even greater community impact. (more…)

Infineon announces its XENSIV PAS CO2 has passed the performance requirements defined by the internationally recognised green building certifications WELL and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). A sensor contributes to 5 WELL features (e.g. ventilation design, air quality monitoring and awareness), and 6 LEED credits (e.g. optimised energy performance and enhanced indoor air quality strategies).
