GlobalPlatform has called for manufacturers of connected devices and components to adopt its “Security Evaluation Standard for IoT Platforms” (SESIP) methodology to demonstrate conformance with the European Union’s new Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), which comes into force this month. The CRA aims to strengthen and harmonise cybersecurity across the EU by creating a new legal framework for all products that connect to the internet. (more…)

Digi International has announced the nomination of two new members to its board of directors: Valerie Heusinkveld and Allison West Hughes. In addition, Sally Smith, a Digi director since 2018, has announced her intention to retire from the board at the conclusion of the company’s annual meeting to be held on February 3, 2025.
