Renesas to invest and restart operation of Kofu Factory as 300mm wafer fab dedicated for power semiconductors

Tokyo, Japan. 17 May, 2022 ― Renesas Electronics Corporation, a supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, announced that it will conduct a [¥90 billion (€0.66 billion)] worth investment in its Kofu Factory, located in Kai City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. While the factory was closed in October 2014, Renesas intends to reopen the fab in 2024 as a 300mm wafer fab capable of manufacturing power semiconductors.

Tata Elxsi and Renesas establish new EV innovation centre

Bengaluru, India and Tokyo, Japan. 3 March , 2022 — Tata Elxsi, a global provider of design and technology services, and Renesas Electronics Corporation, a supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, announced their collaboration on a state-of-the-art design centre in Bangalore that will develop targeted solutions for electric vehicles (EV). Monta raises €15m in Series A funding to make EV charging globally accessible

17 January 2022 – Monta, the electric vehicle charging platform, announced it has closed a $15 million (€13.23 million) Series A funding round to help it expand into more territories. The funding round was led by Creandum, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Stockholm, with significant investment also coming from Headline. (more…)

Delta honoured with leadership level ratings by CDP for substantial contributions to climate change and water security issues

The CDP (formerly known as the “Carbon Disclosure Project”) released its Climate Change 2021 report, in which Delta was listed in the leadership level under “climate change” and “water security” issues among nearly 12,000 companies worldwide. The CDP assessment recognises that Delta’s business strategy is aligned with low carbon goals. Not only does Delta’s board of directors actively participate in its sustainability strategy, but the management team also leads the ESG Committee in promoting various climate initiatives and implementing them in the core business and daily operations. Automotive sensor market revenue to grow to $92bn globally by 2026

Smart meter network passes 10mn milestone in UK

The Data Communications Company (DCC) has confirmed that the 10 millionth smart meter has been connected to its national secure network.
