Nokia has announced that it has entered into an agreement with TATA Play Fiber to launch one of India’s first WiFi6-ready broadband network. With increasing broadband usage in both residential and enterprise areas, there is a demand for new, high-capacity broadband connections. Tarana Wireless, Inc., announced that Digital Alpha Advisors, has joined Tarana’s investor group. The $50 million (€46.92 million) up round led by Digital Alpha is focused on both accelerating Tarana’s growth in sales and deployment of G1 (generation 1), its next-generation fixed wireless access (ngFWA) platform, as well as expanding R&D investment. Airties and Domos, has announced an alliance to provide enhanced latency management capabilities to broadband service providers around world. Airties and Domos will jointly own latency monitoring software module, based on Domos’ existing module, and will be embedded into Airties smart Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity) software. Additionally, Domos will gain access to Airties’ customer base to expand distribution of its network X-ray agent through integration with Airties smart Wi-Fi solutions. CityFibre has passed 3 million premises as it continues its full fibre network rollout to reach up to a third of the UK. CityFibre passed 2 million homes in September 2022 and is on course to deliver a million ready for service premises to ISPs by the end of this year. (more…)
