Morse Micro, a Wi-Fi HaLow technology developer, has announced that Vantron’s VT-MOB-AH-8108 Wi-Fi HaLow Module has achieved CE, FCC and UL certification. Built on Morse Micro’s MM8108 system-on-chip (SoC), the module is now cleared for mass production, providing device makers with a validated path to Wi-Fi HaLow products at scale.
The VT-MOB-AH-8108 is the latest in Vantron’s growing range of Wi-Fi HaLow modules. It targets industrial IoT, smart infrastructure and edge AI-enabled security applications that require range, reliability and low power draw. It’s the latest step in a partnership that already spans multiple Wi-Fi HaLow modules and end products.
The module measures just 11 x 10 x 2.28 mm and supports data rates of up to 43.3 Mbps across 1, 2, 4 and 8 MHz channel bandwidths. With built-in WPA3 security and support for both station and access point modes, it enables device makers to scale deployments from a single sensor to large networks, using a module that carries its own CE, FCC, and UL certification.
“With certification in North America and Europe completed, device makers can accelerate their product development activities with confidence,” said Michael De Nil, co-founder and CEO of Morse Micro. “I’m delighted to see Vantron add to its strong support for Wi-Fi HaLow, putting even more products in the hands of customers.”
With more than 20 years of embedded technology experience, Vantron serves customers worldwide across intelligent edge hardware, communication devices, industrial displays, the BlueSphere cloud platform, and other connected industries, including Fortune Global 500 companies.
“Our customers need reliable connectivity that fits their products and deployment environments,” said Jin Zhang, product director at Vantron. “With the VT-MOB-AH-8108 now certified, we can combine Morse Micro’s Wi-Fi HaLow technology with Vantron’s embedded design and system integration expertise to help customers bring connected industrial and IoT devices to market.”
Certification of the VT-MOB-AH-8108 adds to a growing line-up of production-ready Wi-Fi HaLow hardware built on Morse Micro silicon, providing the ecosystem with a broader range of validated options for developers and manufacturers building Wi-Fi HaLow products.
