Keysight Technologies announced that it has joined the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC), expanding its current partnership with the U.S. government to enhance the nation’s cybersecurity resiliency. Leveraging 20 years of cybersecurity testing and threat intelligence research, Keysight will support JCDC’s mission of uniting the global cyber community in the collective defense of cyberspace.
In response to escalating threats to national security, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) established JCDC in August 2021 under Congressional authorization. As a unique public-private partnership, JCDC proactively gathers, analyzes, and shares actionable cyber risk information to enable improved cybersecurity planning, defense, and response. A primary goal of JCDC includes enabling participants to stay ahead of adversaries and reducing cybersecurity threats before they have an impact.
Keysight offers a comprehensive suite of tools that empower organizations to be proactive with their cybersecurity from chip to cloud, including testing of deployed tools against the latest threats and a Cyber Range training environment to keep skills up to date.
Keysight’s Threat Simulator offers daily updates with the latest malware and ransomware campaigns to validate firewalls, endpoint protection software, and SIEM tools, and CyPerf evaluates cybersecurity effectiveness and user experience in distributed and cloud environments. To test and improve the cybersecurity of devices such as IoT (Internet of Things) and industrial controllers, Keysight’s IoT Security Assessment provides firmware analysis, SBOM (software bill of materials) generation, and network security testing of connected devices.
Keysight’s security validation tools are automated and easy to use, so operators of critical IT and operational technology (OT) environments can easily validate their resilience to emerging threats. Additionally, Keysight offers cybersecurity validation products and services for every stage of the product lifecycle, from pre-silicon analysis to cloud security validation.
“Keysight is honored to join JCDC, extending our years of collaborating with the U.S. government as a provider of electronic test and measurement products and services including electronic warfare, 5G/6G, and cybersecurity validation and training,” said Scott Register, vice president of security solutions at Keysight. “By combining our expertise with the collective strength of JCDC, we can accelerate the development of innovative solutions to safeguard critical infrastructure and protect our nation from cyberattacks.”

Essence Security, a part of Essence Group, announced integrating its proactive, smoke-generating intruder prevention solution, MyShield, with global monitoring station software providers. The most recent and notable is EBÜS from German software company Accellence, and American provider COPS Monitoring.
Additional software providers integrated with MyShield include ESI France, Azursoft, Insocam, NXGEN, AlarmControl, Mastermind, Moni, Shrakrak, AlarmSpace, and SoftGuard. As a result of these developments, the availability of Essence’s range of MyShield security smoke solutions will expand across Europe, the U.S., and South America.
Easy to install, MyShield’s battery-powered system includes an integrated motion detector, high-definition video camera to eliminate false alarms, voice announcement and rapid action remote smoke deployment. It utilises cellular IoT (Internet of Things) networks and can be used as a standalone app-based solution or integrated into existing security systems. The low-maintenance device can be easily moved to ensure properties have 24/7 security on demand for reliable protection.
“By partnering with these leading providers, we are making it possible for people around the world to experience the advanced protection offered by MyShield,” Haim Amir, CEO and founder of Essence Group, said in a media statement. “These integrations support our relentless pursuit of excellence in security, ensuring property owners receive the highest level of protection.”
“Working together with Essence Security brings a new level of sophistication to our monitoring capabilities,” said Hardo Naumann, general manager for EBÜS at Accellence Technologies. “MyShield’s real-time intervention capabilities are setting a new benchmark in security response, and we are excited to offer this to our clients.”
“We are pleased to announce our partnership with Essence to bring MyShield’s cutting-edge intruder prevention capabilities to our alarm company clients and their customers across North America,” stated Jim McMullen, president of COPS Monitoring. “With MyShield, security dealers now have access to an innovative security solution that can give their customers peace of mind, knowing our dispatchers will have new tools to deal with intrusions quickly and enhance the potential for mitigating loss.”
The device releases a ‘veil of harmless yet disorienting’ smoke that fills a room in 30 seconds and can help deter intruders by disorienting them, potentially preventing harm to people or property. It provides an additional layer of security for both residential and commercial settings, useful in situations where immediate response is necessary, such as in buildings that are frequently unoccupied or in areas with less staff.
MyShield’s integration with these monitoring station software providers allows global property owners to benefit from its unprecedented level of efficacy and proactivity in deterring intruders while ensuring round-the-clock safety. MyShield’s advanced detection capabilities, real-time video verification and audio warnings, on top of its smoke intervention, enable monitoring providers to deliver swift and decisive responses to security threats, improving overall safety and security for customers.
Also available through these monitoring station software providers is the MyShield Next solution, a variation of MyShield without an integrated camera, for scenarios where visual verification is unnecessary or where existing cameras are already in place. MyShield Next is also offered as a wired device for areas with no LTE CAT-M coverage and integrates through wired input into existing security alarm systems. Highly adaptable to the specific needs of end users and installers, MyShield Next is suitable for various use cases and configurations.
