EchoStar starts construction of global S-band network with Astro Digital

Denver, United States – EchoStar Corporation has announced an agreement with Astro Digital, a designer, manufacturer and operator of small satellite systems, for the construction of a global S-band mobile satellite service (MSS) network. Under the agreement, Astro Digital will manufacture the satellites for the constellation, which will deliver global Internet of Things (IoT), machine-to-machine (M2M) and other data services beginning in 2024. Orange Belgium, Telenet to provide access to hybrid fibre coaxial, fibre to home networks

30 January 2023 – Orange Belgium and Telenet have signed two commercial fixed wholesale agreements, which is subject to the completion of the transaction related to the acquisition of 75% minus one share of VOO by Orange Belgium. The agreements will provide access to each other’s fixed networks for a 15 year period and cover both current Hybrid Fibre Coaxial and future Fibre to the Home technologies in both network areas. Orange Belgium believes these agreements will foster investment, benefit the customer and competition in the Belgian telecom market.  (more…)
