Trimble acquires Terasat Japan to expand real-time, centimetre-level VRS correction services footprint

Trimble has announced the acquisition of Terasat Japan, a virtual reference station (VRS) service provider in the Japanese market. The acquisition allows Trimble to now directly offer its VRS correction service in Japan, providing incremental coverage for real-time, centimetre-level positioning for the geospatial, construction, automotive and agriculture industries. By providing a high-precision positioning foundation across Japan’s infrastructure, Trimble bridges the connection between digital models and the physical world. Financial terms were not disclosed.

DigitalBridge to acquire PLUS ES, an Australian smart metering platform

DigitalBridge, a global alternative asset manager dedicated to investing in digital infrastructure, has announced that a DigitalBridge-managed investment vehicle has entered into an agreement to acquire PLUS ES, one of Australia’s largest smart meter providers. PLUS ES is a separate ring-fenced entity within the Ausgrid Group. PLUS ES provides infrastructure and services that connect retailers, utilities and network operators with the data needed to manage a complex energy ecosystem.
