20 December 2022 – Motorola Solutions has announced it has received Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certification from the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) for its Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)-compliant Avigilon video security solutions. Motorola Solutions’ Avigilon Control Centre (software release version 7) and H5A Series cameras have gone through rigorous interoperability testing from a JITC lab approved by the Department of Defense (DoD). Chicago, United States – The Romanian National Administration of Penitentiaries has signed a contract with Motorola Solutions to deploy 2100 body-worn cameras to enhance safety and security in all prisons across the country. The new cameras will be used by prison staff during guarding activities and prisoner transport to help deter and deescalate confrontations and collect video footage in the event of conflicts or emergencies. Dusseldorf, Germany. 09 March, 2022 – Renesas Electronics Corporation, a supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, announced availability of functional safety solutions that meet the IEC 61508 standard for both its RA and RX Families of microcontrollers. Renesas now offers IEC 61508 SIL3 (note 1) certified self-test software for both Arm Cortex-M23 and -M33-based MCUs. Renesas also announced the IEC 61508 SIL3 certified PROFIsafe application software for RX MCUs. Renesas is the industry’s semiconductor supplier to offer these hardware software solutions.
