Renesas Electronics Corp, a supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, today announced the expansion of its 32-bit RA2 Series microcontrollers (MCUs) with 20 new RA2L1 Group MCUs, increasing the RA Family to 66 MCUs. A new report from Juniper Research has found that consumer virtual reality content will bring over $7 billion (€5.85 billion) in revenue in 2025, an increase of over 160% on the $3 billion (€2.51 billion) it is expected to generate in 2020.
