According to a new report, the cost of poor software quality (CPSQ) in the US in 2020 was approximately US $2.08 trillion (€1.69 trillion). This included poor software quality resulting from software failures, unsuccessful development projects, legacy system problems, technical debt and cybercrime enabled by exploitable weaknesses and vulnerabilities in software. A new study by Juniper Research has found that network operator spend on MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing) will grow from $2.7 billion (€2.22 billion) in 2020, to $8.3 billion (€6.83 billion) in 2025, as operators invest heavily in upgrading network capacities and infrastructure to support the increasing data generated by 5G networks.
