On August 17 and 18, Lithuania staged Telematics Vilnius 2022, reportedly global IoT platform Wialon’s community event. The gathering saw more than 150 IoT experts from 51 countries come together to discuss telematics trends including fleet management, GPS tracking and IoT. The two-day event in Vilnius, said to be a booming global tech hub, as well as the Wialon headquarters, culminated in an award ceremony where Wialon celebrated its best performing telematics and IoT partners worldwide alongside the top ranking GPS hardware manufacturers. Chicago, United States – The Romanian National Administration of Penitentiaries has signed a contract with Motorola Solutions to deploy 2100 body-worn cameras to enhance safety and security in all prisons across the country. The new cameras will be used by prison staff during guarding activities and prisoner transport to help deter and deescalate confrontations and collect video footage in the event of conflicts or emergencies.
