Vodafone NZ, is New Zealand’s IoT connectivity provider, has partnered with Digital Matter, global specialist in GPS and IoT asset tracking hardware and software, to offer end-to-end IoT asset tracking solutions for New Zealand businesses.
Haiilo, the platform for employee communications, will rely on the Sovereign Cloud from T Systems and Google in the future. The combination of European-standard data security and global scalability convinced the fast-growing company. Just a year ago, the three European companies COYO, Smarp and Jubiwee merged to form Haiilo, with the aim of jointly becoming one of the software providers for internal corporate communications and employee advocacy. BAE Systems is set to launch its multi-sensor satellite cluster into low Earth orbit in 2024 to deliver high-quality information and intelligence in real time from space to military customers. Known as Azalea, the group of satellites will use a range of sensors to collect visual, radar and radio frequency (RF) data, which will be analysed by on board machine learning on edge processors to deliver the resulting intelligence securely, anywhere in the world while still in orbit. Japanese IoT solutions company, Braveridge, has launched a low power drone tracking and regulatory compliance solution designed for drone manufacturers to integrate into their products. The ‘Remote ID’ device can transmit the drone’s published ID and precise position via Nordic nRF52840 SoC-enabled Bluetooth 5 Long Range connectivity. In addition, Braveridge has developed a Remote ID receiver and associated iOS/Android smartphone app to display, monitor, and record the orbit of multiple drones on a map.
