ioXt Alliance approves SolaSec as an Authorised Lab partner

The ioXt Alliance, the global standard for IoT security, has announce that SolaSec, a distinguished cybersecurity firm, has been accepted into the ioXt Authorised Labs program. SolaSec joins an elite global network of independent security testing laboratories empowered to conduct advanced ioXt SmartCert testing.
SolaSec has been a committed ioXt member for just over a year, actively participating in alliance working groups and contributing valuable input on standards and testing methodologies. This meaningful engagement underscores their deep dedication to upholding the highest levels of IoT security.
Founded in Dallas, Texas, SolaSec is passionately focused on cybersecurity. Their service suite includes expert device, application and network security testing, simulated attack scenarios, DevSecOps enablement, and cybersecurity program development. Led by experienced penetration testers and security experts, the team implements rigorous, full-stack testing approaches tailored to each client.
“We are proud to welcome SolaSec as an ioXt Authorised Lab,” said Grace Burkard, the director of operations at ioXt. “Over the past year, SolaSec has demonstrated exceptional expertise in advanced security testing and has consistently delivered results that raise the bar for IoT security. Their proven track record, deep technical knowledge, and commitment to excellence give us complete confidence in their ability to uphold the high standards of the ioXt certification program. We’re excited to see the impact they will make in strengthening the security of connected devices worldwide.”
With this appointment, SolaSec will take on the full spectrum of ioXt testing, thoroughly evaluating connected devices against ioXt’s eight core security principles—from eliminating universal passwords and securing interfaces to enforcing proven cryptography, security-by-default configurations, verified software integrity, automatic updates, responsible vulnerability reporting, and defined security expiration dates. As an Authorised Lab, SolaSec now offers manufacturers a trusted path to independent, third-party validation, ensuring their smart products meet the highest standards of security and compliance.
“Being recognised as an authorised lab by the ioXt Alliance is a tremendous milestone for SolaSec and a reflection of the deep technical rigor we bring to every engagement,” said Caleb Davis, the co‑founder at SolaSec. “Our team has decades of experience testing and securing connected products across medical, industrial and consumer ecosystems. We are proud to align with ioXt’s global commitment to advancing transparency and trust in the IoT security space.”
