To help global IoT manufacturers navigate rising international regulatory barriers, iMQ Technology Inc., a chip-level secure element developer, has announced that its SQ713x Series secure element passed testing at the Keysight laboratory and earned the SESIP and PSA Certified Level 3 security certifications. This establishes a hardware security foundation with cross-regulatory compliance capabilities for the global IoT ecosystem.
Universal security root of trust across IoT markets
As connected devices expand into broader IoT domains, manufacturers face compliance audits far beyond single-application standards. Following its India STQC national security certification and market demonstration at Japan’s CEATEC, iMQ continues deepening global software-hardware integration. Achieving SESIP and PSA Certified Level 3 fulfils high-specification commitments for Matter smart homes and demonstrates hardware defence across international markets. The SQ713x Series secure element supports host SoC platforms in closing physical security gaps, delivering a hardware root of trust for global ecosystem partners.
Resisting advanced fault injection and side-channel attacks
SESIP and PSA Certified Level 3 are established IoT security evaluation standards. At Keysight’s laboratory, the SQ713x Series secure element resisted physical Fault Injection (FI) targeting access control and True Random Number Generators (TRNG), Side-Channel Analysis (SCA), and logical attack vectors, proving its architecture keeps keys and firmware tamper-proof. Combined with NIST CAVP cryptographic algorithm validation, the SQ713x Series delivers end-to-end cryptographic protection.
Fast-tracking EU CRA, RED and the US Cyber Trust Mark via security inheritance
Recognised by GlobalPlatform, the underlying evaluation framework maps to international standards, including the EU Cyber Resilience Act (EU CRA), EU Radio Equipment Directive (EU RED), US Cyber Trust Mark, IEC 62443 (industrial automation), and ISO 21434 (automotive cybersecurity). To solve the challenge of tightening global regulations and costly testing, the SQ713x Series enables end-product brands and module vendors to use the “security inheritance” mechanism. By inheriting chip-level evaluation results, customers bypass bottom-up re-verification, cutting review timelines by months and reducing certification costs by millions.
Frank Lin, the chief operating officer of iMQ Technology, stated: “With internationally validated secure element technology, we empower global partners to seamlessly meet regulatory demands and jointly construct a trusted IoT ecosystem.”
Looking ahead, iMQ will continue building on international cybersecurity standards to deepen collaboration with IoT communication chipmakers, cloud certificate providers, and smart hardware vendors.
