At the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2020 (WAIC 2020), which was held online this year, Human Horizons announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft to jointly develop the onboard AI assistant HiPhiGo for HiPhi -Automobile.

Human Horizons is an innovative mobility company with the HiPhi subsidiary brand and provides first-class, intelligent, fully electric vehicles. To strengthen this partnership, HiPhi and Microsoft are currently discussing the establishment of an intelligent computer laboratory.

This is the latest addition to Human Horizons’ ‘3 Smart’ strategy concept (Smart Vehicle, Smart Road and Smart City), which promotes the company’s next generation of connected vehicles.

The user-friendly combination of different AI-powered applications is a challenge and this is where the partnership with Microsoft comes into play.

“Human Horizons brings experience in design, engineering, intelligent systems and more. With a comprehensive strategy concept and successful activities in the area of integrated development of the vehicle, road and city ecosystem, the company is at the forefront of innovation, “says Dr. Yongdong Wang , global senior vice president of Microsoft (Asia) of the Internet Engineering department .

“The strategic partnership with Microsoft will drive the development of our digital onboard AI assistant HiPhiGo,” said Ding Lei, CEO and founder of Human Horizons and HiPhi. “HiPhi, as a future-oriented innovative mobility company, and Microsoft, with its unique technological expertise, harmonise exceptionally well with one another. Together we will play a key role in shaping the future of automotive mobility. ”

Dr. Yongdong Wang added, “We are delighted that HiPhi has chosen Microsoft. Human Horizons brings solid experience in the areas of vehicle design, engineering and intelligent vehicle systems. As Human Horizons and Microsoft join forces, we look forward to supporting the company with cutting-edge AI technologies to develop the vehicle, road, and city ecosystem and redefining the driving experience for people everywhere. ”

Using the onboard AI assistant enables HiPhi to significantly optimise the networking between its vehicles, its cloud-based platform and user-oriented services within the “vehicle-street-city” ecosystem. Microsoft has extensive technological expertise in terms of computer voice and vision, Natural language processing and search engine databases, including Microsoft’s human-language text-to-speech technology based on deep neural networks, and the integration of such technologies ensures seamless and impressive human-machine interaction.

In addition, the HiPhiGo AI assistant enables the effective use of mobility services across its entire portfolio and thus offers innovative services and solutions such as consumer experience in vehicles, telematics and the ability to securely network vehicle data and information about vehicle occupants.

AI is an essential part of the further development of information technology (IT) of the new generation and at the same time describes the path towards a deep integration of IT with economic and social development processes of global concern.

The solutions resulting from this partnership will be transferred to other HiPhi products and form the basis for all customer-oriented services of the brand. HiPhi 1, the first product of the HiPhi brand, will have a small-volume production facility until the end of 2020 and will be officially available for sale in 2021 Available.
