Global CPaaS provider CLX Communications AB has announced their partnership with Advent Controls. This partnership demonstrates how the CLX IoT Connectivity solution can be implemented in the fire and security industry to bring reliable, cost-effective and ‘always connected’ alarm and detection systems without depending on expensive fixed lines or un-reliable pre-pay consumer SIM cards.

CLX has been working with Advent Controls, a UK based GSM security equipment manufacturer, since January 2018. Advent uses the CLX IoT SIM to add cellular connectivity to their GSM Dialler and Intercom solutions, aiming to ‘future proof’ their installations as PSTN and ISDN networks continue to be phased out in favor of cellular-based solutions which can offer a more reliable fall back.

Partnering at the International Fire & Security Exhibition and Conference (IFSEC) 2018, CLX and Advent Controls aim to highlight the opportunities that the CLX SIM for IoT connectivity can bring to thousands of installers across the fire and security markets – speeding up installation time, reducing support calls, and driving additional revenue.logo_Compliance

Michael Beaver, MD at Advent Controls, commented, ‘The CLX IoT Connectivity SIM has enabled us to source a complete solution for our customer base. It has also allowed us to take advantage of the additional value we can offer installers, by sharing location information on installed units. This is a very useful tool when you’ve got thousands of units in the field to keep tabs on!’

David Pearson, IoT sales manager at CLX Communications, commented, ‘Partnering with Advent Controls at IFSEC brings our IoT Connectivity offering to a whole new market, and we are very excited about our continuing working relationship with Advent and others in this industry.‘

Both CLX and Advent Controls will be exhibiting at the forthcoming International Fire and Security Exhibition and Conference (IFSEC) event, in London  19-21st June 2018.
