Motorola equips police officers in German federal state of Saxony-Anhalt with body-worn cameras

Motorola Solutions has announced that the company signed a contract with the Ministry of the Interior of the German federal state of Saxony-Anhalt to deploy VB400 body-worn cameras including VideoManager evidence management software to the state’s police officers. The roll out of the new body-worn camera solutions to the City of Stendal Police Inspectorate and the police academy in Aschersleben marks the beginning of a wider deployment to nearly all operational frontline teams in Saxony-Anhalt. Working Group Two to be acquired by Cisco

Telenor announced that all shares in software company Working Group Two will be acquired by the global communications technology company Cisco. Telenor sells its 44.6% share of Working Group Two, in a transaction where Cisco will acquire all shares in the company for an enterprise value of [$150 million (€137.03 million)]. Working Group Two will be incorporated fully into Cisco.

ZTE obtains CC EAL3+ certificate for its OTN products

ZTE Corporation, a provider of information and communication technology solutions, announced that it has recently obtained the CC (Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation) EAL3+ certificate for its OTN (optical transport network) products including ZXONE 9700 series, ZXMP M721 series, and ZXONE 7000 series. Vodafone, DCC partner to upgrade Britain’s smart meter system

Vodafone has signed a services agreement to provide 4G connectivity for Britain’s smart meter network. The partnership between Vodafone and DCC (Data Communications Company) is an agreement for up to 15 years to build and operate 4G managed IoT (internet of things) connectivity for Britain’s smart meter network, which securely connects more than half of homes to energy suppliers and operators and is managed and run by DCC.
