Norway’s Horten Municipality employs Nordic Semiconductor-powered cellular IoT monitoring solution to address drinking water waste from pipe leaks

Horten Municipality in southern Norway, and local smart condition monitoring solution provider, 7Sense, have collaborated on a cellular Internet of Things (IoT)-based project designed to detect leaks in drinking water networks in the region. The solution is powered by Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF9160 low power module with integrated LTE-M/NB-IoT modem and GNSS, and the project is supported by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.

Quectel Wireless Solutions, a global Internet of Things (IoT) solutions provider, and STACKFORCE GmbH has announced at Embedded World in Nuremburg that wireless M-Bus (wM-Bus) connectivity has been integrated into the KG200Z LoRa module, enhancing connectivity for smart metering, industrial automation and IoT applications, bridging the gap between short-range and long-range communication.

PHY Wireless, a contributor in innovative cellular location technology, has announced a collaboration with Nordic Semiconductor to integrate its ultra-low-power location technology with Nordic’s nRF9151 system-in-package (SiP) module. Kigen achieves full GSMA SAS-SM accreditation for eSIM IoT remote manager

Kigen, a provider in eSIM and iSIM security technology evolution, has received the GSMA Security Accreditation Scheme for Subscription Management (SAS-SM) full certification for its Dublin, Ireland site.
