IP Infusion, a provider of open network software and solutions for wireline and mobile network operators, has announced that Multinet, Pakistan’s premier information and communications solution provider, selected IP Infusion’s OcNOS networking operating system in its nationwide IP upgrade to 3.2 Tbps. This project, based on solutions developed by Telecom Infra Project (TIP), is an Open Optical and Packet Transport (OOPT) project to date. Multinet will be upgrading its transport network that spans the entire country covering more than 120 cities, across more than 14,000 kilometers, and supporting more than 150 million people in the region. Espoo, Finland. 15 February 2023 – Nokia has announced the completion of the DWDM network operating at 600G per wavelength with Viettel, Vietnam’s telecom service provider. The network uses Nokia’s PSE-V super-coherent optical engines (PSE-Vs), transmitting a 600Gb/s channel in the C-band to connect Viettel’s main core sites. This new Data Centre Interconnect solution will enable Viettel to meet future requirements for low-latency, high-capacity, robust network for 5G, Cloud, and growing consumer demand for online video and internet usage. The European Commission has selected Deutsche Telekom to lead and coordinate the development of the EU-wide high-security communications infrastructure EuroQCI. Telekom will take on the role of coordinator, working together with partners Airbus DS, Thales SIX and AIT, as well as a group of experts from science and industry, under the project name “PETRUS”.
