BT announced it has secured a seven-year deal with NATS, a provider of air navigation services. Tellabs, a provider of passive optical network (PON) solutions, has introduced the ICT (information and communication technologies) industry’s carbon reduction calculator. This calculator estimates embodied and operational carbon avoidance through the adoption of Tellabs optical local area network (LAN) for smart buildings and Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity.

Butler Electric Cooperative has selected Conexon, to deliver fibre broadband support services for cooperative’s fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network. The $21 million (€19.18 million) project, representing the state’s electric cooperative fibre broadband network, is partially being funded through a $10 million (€9.13 million) Kansas Capital Projects will deliver FTTH internet access to approximately 4,300 rural Kansans. Service will be offered through Butler Electric’s broadband division, Velocity.
