Work to upgrade Wath upon Dearne’s digital foundations with future-proof full fibre network connectivity is now underway after CityFibre started construction works in the town’s Swinton area. Butler Electric Cooperative has selected Conexon, to deliver fibre broadband support services for cooperative’s fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network. The $21 million (€19.18 million) project, representing the state’s electric cooperative fibre broadband network, is partially being funded through a $10 million (€9.13 million) Kansas Capital Projects will deliver FTTH internet access to approximately 4,300 rural Kansans. Service will be offered through Butler Electric’s broadband division, Velocity.
