Calix, Inc. has announced that longtime customer ALLO Communications (ALLO) has secured $650 million (€577.75 million) in sustainable financing, driven in part by their investment in the Calix broadband platform Calix Intelligent Access EDGE, Calix Cloud, and Calix Revenue EDGE. Sustainable finance is an investment that considers the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors of an economic activity or project. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport has installed Rohde & Schwarz QPS201 security scanners. A shortage of personnel in the after COVID-19 period and a fully resumed air traffic turned out to be obstacle to its handling at the security lanes. A joint venture between Vodafone Spain and SEMI, a Spanish industrial group, has been awarded a five-year, €25.5 million contract by ADIF to enhance the high-speed train routes from Albacete to Alicante and Barcelona to Figueras with 5G coverage. NTT has announced the launch of its hyperscale data centre campus, Chennai 2, and the arrival of its subsea cable system – MIST (Myanmar/Malaysia India Singapore Transit) in the city. The Chennai 2 campus is located in Ambattur, spread across 6 acres is a project with a total planned capacity of 34.8 MW (megawatt) critical IT load from 2 data centre buildings. Comcast Corporation has announced a new $4.5 million (€4.11 million), three-year grant to Per Scholas, a national nonprofit advancing economic equity through tech training and career building. The investment will enable more than 10,000 diverse adults across 15 markets to launch new tech careers, empowering individuals from low-wealth communities to earn a collective $450 million (€411.30 million) in new wages alone. Iveda, a global solution for cloud-based AI, has announced that Movement Interactive, powered by Iveda, has been named as a subcontractor in an eight-year Veterans Affairs contract worth $1.032 billion (€0.94 billion). Through this subcontract, Iveda and Movement Interactive will support 72,000 veterans aging in place across the United States with AI and IoT-enabled telehealth and fall detection technology through HIPAA-compliant IvedaCare and IvedaAI to support the ongoing care, health, and safety of patients.
