Following the introduction of Zigbee 4.0 and Suzi, the Connectivity Standards Alliance’s new sub-GHz connectivity solution, we are excited to announce the opening of the Product Certification Program for Zigbee sub-GHz (Suzi).
This marks a significant step forward in enabling the industry to bring standardized long-range, low-power, and interoperable IoT products to market, backed by the trusted Zigbee ecosystem.
Extending Zigbee beyond boundaries
Zigbee has long been the foundation of reliable, secure, and low-power mesh networking. With the addition of Suzi, the technology evolves into a platform designed for larger, more complex, and more demanding IoT deployments.
At the heart of this evolution is Suzi, a sub-GHz extension that expands Zigbee’s capabilities beyond the traditional 2.4 GHz band, unlocking:

Suzi is not a replacement for Zigbee’s 2.4 GHz operation; it is an extension.
The technology is designed to work alongside existing Zigbee networks, allowing developers and operators to choose the right frequency band based on deployment needs. This dual-band flexibility enables optimized network design without sacrificing interoperability or requiring a complete system overhaul.
A key enabler of this flexibility is Zigbee’s support for bridge devices operating across both 2.4 GHz and sub-GHz radios.
