Morse Micro, a provider of Wi-Fi HaLow chips, has announced that its MM6108-EKH05Light has officially received Matter certification from the Connectivity Standards Alliance. This certification marks a step for Wi-Fi HaLow technology, demonstrating seamless interoperability, security and ease of integration for smart home and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

Matter is the latest open standard for smart home connectivity, designed to unify and simplify communication across devices, regardless of manufacturer or ecosystem. With this certification, Morse Micro is able to show compatibility between Wi-Fi HaLow and Matter-enabled smart home platforms, allowing users to experience ease of provisioning alongside a reliable and future-proof smart home experience.

“We’re thrilled to have achieved the Matter certification for our Wi-Fi HaLow technology, reaffirming our commitment to interoperability in the IoT space,” said Michael De Nil, co-founder and CEO of Morse Micro. “Achieving Matter certification for a Wi-Fi HaLow product is a testament to our ongoing efforts to enhance device compatibility, user experience, and sustainable innovation. By supporting Matter, our customers benefit from a smarter, more connected world with greater interoperability, flexibility and security.”

The Matter certification process required rigorous testing to validate Morse Micro’s MM6108-EKH05Light developer platform against Matter’s robust specifications. As a result, users can trust that the device will work reliably within Matter-supported ecosystems, eliminating compatibility concerns and ensuring a more streamlined setup and operation.
