The global cyber security and GDPR compliance platform, Naq Cyber, warns businesses that new data shows ransomware attacks are increasing by 70% every month. Millions of businesses have moved their proposition online and shifted to remote working since the pandemic started but many still have little or no online protection in place and are therefore still vulnerable to these attacks.

Nadia Kadhim, CEO at Naq Cyber, comments, “Any UK business that has clients, employees or suppliers and especially if they have an online solution need to have a robust online security solution in place. So many businesses especially SMEs don’t believe they will be attacked and remain vulnerable to online criminals who can steal data, effect profits and cause disruption.

Along with the huge problems and financial impacts these attacks cause, businesses are also open to huge fines for a lack of GDPR compliance so protecting your business and data has never been more important.”

The data went onto show that one in six small business in the UK that had been impacted by a cyber-attack almost had to shut their doors due to the severity and impact on their business. The cyber experts at Naq Cyber have launched a one stop platform for small businesses to easily manage their cyber security and legal compliance essentially a small business information security officer.

Kadhim adds, “It is critical that small businesses start taking this seriously and consider investing in ongoing protection and advice in the same way they would hire an accountant to manage their accounts. Keeping your data secure and compliant has never been more important and any busy who is concerned should get in touch with us.”
