Device Authority, a global provider of policy and device-driven security automation for the Internet of Things (IoT), has appointed Rao Cherukuri as chief product officer (CPO).

This year Device Authority will reportedly strengthen its KeyScaler platform technology and continue to develop solutions for securing the Internet of Things with device identity and access management being a key area of focus. To take the lead, Rao Cherukuri joins Device Authority as CPO responsible for product management, marketing and technical strategic alliances.

“Rao is a technology innovator, entrepreneur and seasoned executive in Silicon Valley. His vast experience will be instrumental in our success this year as we securely connect the IoT and IAM,” said Darron Antill, CEO of Device Authority.

“With his experience in Product Management and Marketing it is important we align our leading IoT security automation platform with our Go to Market strategic alliances and partners. As we continue to OEM and co-brand our solution with key strategic alliances and their solutions, this role will become increasingly more important to all partners.”

“Device Authority has built a leading security automation platform for the IoT. I am extremely excited to be part of a dynamic, dedicated team who play a vital role in securing the IoT and push the boundaries every day”, said Rao Cherukuri. “IoT IAM is substantially different from traditional IAM as it is device-centric, and Device Authority is well positioned with a proven product to address this emerging market.”

Rao will be working alongside the sales, marketing and product development teams to further reinforce Device Authority’s position within the IoT security market. He will work closely with key partners and alliances, including Intel and Digicert.
