Tele2 and foodora introduce 5G-connected drone deliveries in Sweden

Tele2 AB (“Tele2”) and the q-trade platform foodora have announced that they will launch food deliveries using IoT and 5G connected drones. The deliveries will be made wherever possible to the customers’ property or garden and lowered with a cable from the drone, with the first deliveries taking place already in the spring on Värmdö, outside Stockholm. FCC adopts new, flexible rules to enable short-range radars in 60 GHz spectrum band

Federal Communications Commission has adopted new, more flexible rules for the 60 GHz spectrum band to support radar technology. Many technologies rely on short-range radars to support important applications including alerting drivers to children left in dangerously hot cars, improving mobility and health outcomes by detecting hand gestures and respiratory functions, and assisting drones in construction, emergency rescue, and commercial settings.  (more…)

XAG Agricultural Drone is granted CAA operational authorisation to spray in UK
