Tech Data launches European agreement with Sigfox

Tech Data announced a pan-European agreement with Sigfox, an IoT (Internet of Things) service provider.
Through this new partnership, Tech Data customers will have access toSigfox’s Sens’it Discovery solution – an out-of-the-box IoT offering, which leverages Sigfox’s low consumption global network for connected devices.
Sens’it Discovery is an end-to-end solution combining a hardware device and web application. The device includes six different sensors with five device modes –vibration, magnet, door opening, light and temperature, and humidity – connected to the Sigfox network. Data and activities measured by the Sigfox Sens’it are available in real time for direct visualisation or notification configurations, via any device (PC, Mac, Android & IOS smartphones) on the sensit.io web application.
Through the use of Sens’it, Tech Data’s community of system integrators and resellers across Europe will be able to rapidly explore and seamlessly develop innovative use-cases and accelerate their go-to-market.

Tech Data recently demonstrated its IoT capabilities during its IoT on Wheels Roadshow 2018, visiting 10 cities in six countries between April and June, with an IoT-enabled truck. The agreement with Sigfox will be rolled out in a phased approach across Europe from July.
