Nordson Industrial Coating Systems introduces the wisdom smart connected platform

Nordson Industrial Coating Systems, a Nordson company and supplier of equipment for the precise application of industrial coating solutions, announced the availability of the Nordson Wisdom smart connected platform.
The Wisdom platform combines the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0 with Nordson Industrial Coating Systems’ (ICS) proven hardware, controls, application expertise and field support to help customers improve their manufacturing process, become more competitive and produce better products.
Manufacturers across the finishing, coating and dispensing industry are actively evaluating how they can apply IIoT and Industry 4.0 capabilities to their operations. Many are overwhelmed with how to build and acquire new capabilities in big data, data analytics and remote connectivity. In addition, they are trying to understand how to take advantage of the Cloud which offers solutions that exist outside of traditional hardware and controls.

The Wisdom smart connected platform’s first solution is a mobile app for the Nordson ICS Powder line of business in the United States and Canada. It helps customers improve the accuracy and speed when ordering spare parts, provides a direct link to Nordson University training and technical documentation, and delivers information regarding new product launches and promotions. The Wisdom smart connected platform’s global rollout will incorporate additional lines of business in 2020. Future solutions will provide information, analytics and training suites.
Through the Wisdom platform, Nordson is rethinking how products are designed, manufactured and serviced to transform the customer experience. The Wisdom mobile app is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play .
