A shared passion for a future decentralised internet has brought two blockchain projects together in a new partnership. RightMesh’s mobile mesh networking and Bluzelle’s swarm storage will combine to offer a decentralised platform providing connectivity and database storage for decentralised applications (Dapps).

John Lyotier, co-founder and CEO of RightMesh, and Pavel Bains, co-founder and CEO of Bluzelle, met many years ago in their home cities just outside Vancouver, Canada. Being “neighbours”, they shared their journeys as they concurrently developed decentralised platforms upon which developers and entrepreneurs could build apps developed for their own hyper-local challenges.

RightMesh built a platform for connectivity while Bluzelle built a platform for data management. Recently, they identified that, together, their solutions could provide a stronger solution for the market. As a proof of concept, RightMesh will be integrating Bluzelle’s swarm storage into some in-house developed apps.

The first RightMesh app to integrate Bluzelle’s swarm storage will be an app distribution and updating app. “Updating of apps is an immense problem in developing countries and areas without connectivity,” explains Lyotier of RightMesh, adding the example that only one of five WhatsApp users is ever on the most recent version.

“The use of swarm storage with RightMesh will create a decentralised platform for apps to be updated for the betterment of many. Once this has been proven, we can expand the combined solutions for all dApp developers to integrate.”

“A core belief we have of blockchain technology is what it can do for people in emerging markets – not just on the financial side, but on their lifestyle. Better technology infrastructure is needed around the world. By working with the RightMesh team, we can play a role in bringing this forward,” adds Bains of Bluzelle.
